HALA Group: Building a stronger finance foundation for a multi-brand group
HALA Group operates franchises for two of the UK’s best-known food and beverage brands, Domino’s and Pret A Manger. With a growing portfolio spanning across multiple entities, brands and locations the group required a finance platform capable of providing dependable day-to-day processing, clearer oversight and a strong foundation for continued development.
Faced with a high proposed renewal cost for Sage Intacct, HALA Group sought a more cost-effective finance environment that aligned closely with the practical needs of an expanding franchise business. A critical requirement of the change was preserving the group’s established Ezora integration, which brings operational sales and central cost data directly into the finance system. The business also wanted to improve consistency, visibility and control across its multiple entities. Key objectives included reducing manual handling within purchase invoice processing workflows and giving the finance team a much more manageable month-end process. Ultimately, the business needed a scalable platform capable of supporting multiple brands, entities and locations.
To meet these requirements, 4PointZero introduced a connected finance workflow designed to improve efficiency without compromising control.
The project involved a comprehensive migration that transferred HALA Group’s accounting data and financial structure from Sage Intacct into the new environment. The work went beyond technical migration, encompassing full system design and configuration tailored to the group’s multi-entity requirements. Consistent processes and controls were embedded across the finance function. Full training was delivered to equip the finance team for day-to-day use, with ongoing support provided after go-live to resolve challenges and refine the system.
HALA Group successfully reduced its finance system costs compared with the proposed Sage Intacct renewal, gaining an integrated cloud platform better suited to a multi-brand franchise operation.The new finance environment has delivered several key benefits across the group:
